Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – July 11, 2026 – Hypnus successfully concluded its participation in SLEEP2026 – Malaysian Multidisciplinary Sleep Congress, held from July 9 to 11, 2026, at CCEC NEXUS, Bangsar South City, Kuala Lumpur.
Under the theme “Redefining Sleep Health in This Obesity Era,” the congress brought together sleep medicine specialists, respiratory physicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, and industry partners to discuss the evolving challenges of sleep health, obesity, sleep-disordered breathing, personalized treatment, and long-term patient care.
Connecting with the International Sleep Medicine Community
During the congress, the Hypnus team engaged with clinical professionals and partners from Malaysia and other international markets.
These discussions provided valuable insights into the clinical realities faced by healthcare providers, including the increasing burden of obstructive sleep apnea, the need for more accessible diagnostic pathways, the importance of comfortable and effective PAP therapy, and the challenge of maintaining long-term treatment adherence outside the hospital.
For Hypnus, participating in SLEEP2026 was not only an opportunity to present technologies, but also an important occasion to listen, learn, and better understand the needs of different healthcare systems and patient populations.
From Sleep Screening to Long-Term Patient Management
At the congress, Hypnus presented its integrated sleep and respiratory care solutions, covering key stages of the patient pathway:
● Sleep screening and diagnostic support
● PAP titration and treatment initiation
● High-performance CPAP and bilevel therapy
● Remote treatment data management
● Patient follow-up and adherence support
● Hospital-to-home continuous care
Among the solutions presented was the Hypnus 8 Series, designed to support effective and comfortable non-invasive respiratory therapy through intelligent pressure delivery, optimized humidification, connected data capabilities, and remote treatment management.
Hypnus also introduced its broader digital care approach, connecting respiratory devices with the iHypnusCare cloud platform and adherence management services. This enables healthcare professionals and service teams to better understand treatment progress, identify potential problems, and provide more timely support throughout the patient’s therapy journey.
Beyond Devices: Building Connected Care
Effective PAP therapy depends on more than the performance of a device.
Patients may experience mask leakage, discomfort, inappropriate pressure settings, interrupted treatment, or difficulties adapting to therapy. Without timely follow-up, these challenges may reduce adherence and compromise long-term outcomes.
Hypnus is therefore developing a connected care model that combines reliable medical devices, cloud-based data, remote parameter management, professional follow-up, and patient education.
The objective is to extend care beyond a single sleep study or device installation and create a more continuous pathway from clinical diagnosis to home therapy and long-term health management.
Learning from Clinical Needs
The discussions at SLEEP2026 reinforced several important directions for the future of sleep medicine:
First, sleep-disordered breathing should be considered within the wider context of obesity, cardiovascular risk, metabolic health, and overall quality of life.
Second, personalized therapy must balance clinical effectiveness with patient comfort. Treatment can only create lasting value when patients are willing and able to use it consistently.
Third, digital connectivity is becoming increasingly important in bridging the gap between hospital-based care and long-term home treatment.
These insights are closely aligned with the direction Hypnus continues to pursue: combining precision respiratory therapy with connected care to support better treatment experiences and more sustainable patient management.
Moving Forward Together
